I’m a small business owner with more than 35 years of marketing and public affairs experience for community colleges and public health agencies.

Since making DuPont my home in 2004, I’ve watched home values rise and fall, businesses close or downsize, and a city budget that became so tight, tough decisions had to be made. We have a unique environment here – bordered on three sides by Joint Base Lewis McChord and on the fourth side by Puget Sound. That translates into growth that is geographically challenged, limiting income from property taxes, and making it more difficult for our small city to meet its many demands. We have the lowest property tax rate in the state. We have to be creative, resourceful, and willing to step up to make sure our hometown is everything we want it to be.

I’m a DuPont business owner. I’m also a dedicated public servant with many years in government. I have professional experience in drinking water systems, radiation protection, and building healthy communities.
