- City of DuPont Planning Commissioner, 2022-2026
- Northwest Landing Residential Owners’ Association, Board of Directors; served as board secretary in 2022 and president in 2023-2025.
- Founding board member for Tumwater Farmers Market in 2006; served 4 years as board secretary and promotion chair.
- Led photography workshops for Nature Conservancy (2006) and Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photowalk (2014 and 2024).
- Served on steering council for MetroParks Tacoma’s STAR Center, 35,000-square foot community center, opening in 2012.
- Chair and member MetroParks Arts & Heritage Advisory Council, 2004-2007.
- Photographer with the all-volunteer photography crew for Tall Ships Tacoma 2008.
- Created photo contest called “SequaliShoot” to promote tourism. SequaliShoot challenged people of all ages to “give it your best shot” on the Sequalitchew Creek and many other beautiful trails in DuPont from 2013 through 2024.
- In 2005, led a group of DuPont volunteers to petition the DuPont Parks Agency and City Council to adopt the name Chief Leschi for the 6-acre park at the top of Hoffman Hill. Chief Leschi was exonerated in 2004 by a historic court proceeding more than 145 years after being wrongfully convicted and executed for murder. Leschi and his brother WaHeLut were Nisqually tribal leaders.

- As a volunteer for DuPont’s Centennial in 2006, worked with the digital design program at Pierce College-Fort Steilacoom to design a centennial logo, which involved a contest among 2nd-year students, and awards and recognition ceremony by the city.
